NEW WAVE by DA VITTORIO is Shanghai’s first contemporary museum restaurant, located in the city’s finest contemporary arts center, UCCA Edge. It is also the second restaurant in China by Michelin- three-starred Italian restaurant DA VITTORIO.
New Wave’s name was inspired by the UCCA’s opening exhibition held in 2007, “’85 New Wave: The Birth of Chinese Contemporary Art”, which defined the landscape for the past 15 years. The ’85 New Wave show was a seminal event in Chinese art history, and a that marked the beginning of a new era during which Chinese contemporary art achieved international conciousness.
For the Cerrea family of DA VITTORIO, the arrival of NEW WAVE by DA VITTORIO at UCCA Edge marks their first endeavour into museum restaurants. NEW WAVE continues the Cerea family’s long-standing pursuit of authentic Italian cuisine with a modern twist and homemade flavour, all with the finest and most attentive service, a touch of family ambience.
